Unwind from the Grind: Collective Rest w/ Andrea

Grab your coziest sweats and get ready to lay your a** down.

SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 7:30-8:45p

We will spend the first part of class becoming embodied, bringing breath and awareness into our bodies. You will be asked to move intuitively, listening for what your body needs and encouraged to proceed accordingly. I will offer a few restorative shapes to help your body to relax more comfortably. Once you are settled in, I will read to you while you rest, reminding you of your inherent  divinity.

This class is inspired by Tricia Hersey's book, Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto, but I also read from authors like Sonya Renee Taylor, Bell Hooks, Jessamyn Stanley, Michelle Cassandra Johnson, and many more! This class is for ALL tired bodies looking for a bit of restoration and hope.
